Good recommendations James:

* have an offer - even if you are just starting

* show results

P.S.: I'd love to see you write in greater depth how to generate results for those who are breaking into online entrepreneurship for the first time. Your example of gathering testimonials in exchange for a digital product you offer is very intriguing, but I would love to see it explained in greater detail and see other similar tactics that could be used.

Oooohh yeah, that's an excellent topic. I'll definitely add that into my pipeline. Thank you, Robin. Some other tactics would be cooperative, strategic review exchanges, and offering a free beta version of what you're creating.

Great.

"... cooperative, strategic review exchanges, and offering a free beta version..." they all sound good, but the gold is in the execution and possibly in your personal experience.

I would love for you to dwell in these specific directions.

Thank you James.

Thanks for this James. You’ve articulated what I’ve been struggling with. Determining impact, my core offer and the results.

Thank you, Tope!! Sorry I missed this comment earlier on. But these are indeed valuable, high-impact things to think about!

Love the testimonials app. How you finding that ? Impactful (apologies - couldn't help myself 😊). Thanks for sharing

I think it's a great leverage! The app is called Senja, and they have a pretty powerful tool even for the free version. Can't justify the paid version yet, but it'll be my go-to tool when I need to! Give it a look, it might be able to help you with your book!

Thanks for the guidance 😃

This is exactly the wake-up call most content creators need right now. The way you’ve reframed impact as the antidote to being replaceable? Chef’s kiss. So many are still stuck chasing reach while forgetting to anchor it in real-world results. What was the first piece of proof that made you realise your work was genuinely creating change?

(I especially love the push to prove it - not just with words, but with stories, receipts, and outcomes. That’s where trust lives.)

Thank you, Melanie! For me, the first piece of proof would be the impactful comments made on my long form articles made on Medium, actually. When I posted my first thought leadership content on AI and creativity, a lot of people commented touching things, like how it helped them change their mind about AI, or how it resolved a particular fear in them. That's when I knew my ideas could help, and I've just been following that ever since!

This is a great piece James, thank you! What stood out most to me is how this naturally folds back into community: a core offer is strengthened when it grows in dialogue with the people it serves, and results become most powerful when they circulate as shared stories within that community. A reminder that real durability comes from relationships, not algorithms.

Yes, well put! All the pillars of Unpromptability all complement each other. More than that, you can only create a core offer in the first place from your Mission, in a dialogue with your Community. They all fold into each other. But yes, well spotted :)

This is the question that I have been wrestling with since I started this.

Not so much what I offer, but the feeling you're selling beyond the offer, or beyond the thing.

James Presbitero's avatar

Yeah! The true impact. I'm sure you'll figure it out. If you want help, feel free to reach out as well! :D

Thank you, James. I'll probably do so at some point 😉

Looking forward to it :D
